The Municipality of Guiguinto is known for its many projects and festivals—specifically the Halamanan Festival—thus, the members decided to conduct a survey on the community officials of Barangay Poblacion to ask for their insights on the said projects, as well as the plans for the development of the community. 



Apart from the projects, the members also respectfully asked about the current issues faced by the Barangay. However, according to the given officials, there are no current issues in the community.

Project Development Officer 1 of SIKKAT PIARO

The respondent stated that Tanggapan ng Sining, Impormasyon, Kabataan, Kasaysayan, Kalinangan, at Turismo (SIKKAT) has plans, especially for the youth, namely the Youth Development Plan, Annual Budget Plan (for the municipal projects), and there are organizations assigned for each sector to work on the projects. Furthermore, the respondent said that SIKKAT has their budget aligned for each proposal in order to develop more plans for the youth and arts of the municipality.

  • Halamanan Festival or the Bulaklak ng Halamanan Folk Dance  that happens every year in Guiguinto where flowers and plants are used in the celebration to honor their livelihood.

  • Iskolaran: Padyak SIKKAT which is a project of the Sangguniang Kabataan that consists of fourteen (14) Barangays. This project involves the youth of Guiguinto to participate in a color fun run.

  • Arts Month that includes an exhibition called Kislap, a project of youth volunteers,  which features the youth to show their talents in painting and photography.

According to the respondent, the municipality is at peace which is why many business owners have decided to move there. This leads to the outcome of having many built warehouses in the municipality. Furthermore, the respondent also stated that their sector helps in the improvement of peace and order in the community.

  • BIDA Progam (Buhay Ingatan, Droga Ayawan) which repels the youth from using illegal drugs and encourages them to participate in extracurricular activities in the Barangay.

  • Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan to stop crimes in the Municipality

  • Illegal Drugs Lecture in the Barangay and schools 

SUMMARY

The town of Guiguinto continues to follow its principle of being a progressive town. Programs that are expected to make the city better continue to take place. There is still a growth of tourism in the city. Although there's a problem, the solution is immediate as well. Activities that serve as a preliminary solution to potential conflicts are also provided for.  With regard to this, by involving young people in provincial activities and organizations and by setting up organizations led by young people, Guiguinto continues to shape and develop young people in the field of public service.


Overall, the city of Guiguinto continues to fulfil its mission and promise, "Basta magaling, sa Guiguinto nanggaling!".
