Looking for a locally produce and handmade product made with artistry and creative power?

Here’s a small, local business to be convenient with. Macramadebymj is a self established business of handmade products which started November, 2018 pre-pandemic period. It was established by a dedicated woman named Mary Bohara at the age of 33, as her hobby or interest while residing in India for a couple of months of 2018. Traveled back in 2019 to continue her business in the Philippines. Some of her products are classified into various designs and concepts, for example macrame or tote bags, wall hanging mirror, macrame wall decorations, curtains, accessories and much more. The owner’s primary goal is to promote locally made handwoven products among individuals.

Furthermore, macrame was popularly started way back in the 13th century when the Arabic used a weaving knot to secure loose ends of woven textiles into decorative fringes. Its name itself derives from the Arabic word 'migramah', meaning ornamental fringe or from the Turkish word 'makrama,' meaning the use of a towel or napkin. It is done without using any equipment only by hand.

In addition, the product is most likely to target female or adult age ranging from 18 and above which also empower women to express more of themselves through her products. Moreover, it is quite apparent that some of her products were cost-effective and a good few were a bit more pricey since they were handmade and required time and labor to do so but the process was worth the wait. More to that, some of her products thus far accomplished to transport into several countries like Singapore, USA, India, Dubai and United Kingdom. It was noticeable for the owners brand reputation the feedback of the purchaser posted on her social media accounts or platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Some of the buyer's feedback from the product says “Ang gandaaaa!!! Iba talaga ang gawang handmade, will order again for sure!” and “Very accommodating ng seller sa lahat ng inquiries. She never disappoints me maganda ang product!” Truly an achievement to the industry of handmade products here in the Philippines.
