MIDTERM EXAMINATION 

1.Compare citizen journalism and community journalism.

        Citizen journalism is a non-professional practice of an individual that gathering and share information. Citizen journalism can share their news on social media. It can also help the professional ones to get more important information that they need. it can also help the people to share their thoughts, feelings, spread the important things, and also use this to be their voice and to be heard. In community journalism this is about the people in one community or group in a specific location. In this practice it can help to know the people who live there, place and culture. This will be their voice to reach the highest people or the government to give them help or anything that they need. To have an action and to help them to improve and change their lives and their community. To share their opinion and concerns and to inform everyone.

2. Which social issue in the Philippines can be solved or addressed by community journalism? Why? How?

            One social issue that can be addressed by community journalism is the garbage. We know that some people don't have manners and they will throw their trash everywhere. Because of this problem it will affect the community, there will be floods, dirty rivers, smelly place, and the garbage is everywhere are filled with animals and insects. It will reflect to the people who live in that community which may have adverse effects on health. Community journalism could help them to reach the government, to give them help and assistance to improve their community and the learnings of the people will expand. And also, to give awareness to the other community on how to handle this kind of problem and have a discipline
