MIDTERM EXAMINATION - Citizen and Community Journalism
VENTURA, BEATRIZ MAE
BAJ-2B
1.) At first, it's confusing for me to understand these two, because i thought that they're
both have the same meaning. In discussion about this, I already have enlightened what's
the difference of these two. Citizen Journalism consists of not professional journalists,
but they can disseminate information, especially emphasizing the daily living of a citizen.
Meanwhile, community journalism is the opposite, because it refers to a professional journalist and it has a principle on how to ethically and effectively share stories within
the community. By that, these two have the major impact on how the issues and
problems of citizens and communities can be addressed and to know what's currently
happening.
2.) I really want to change this kind of tactic, the ML or MOBILE LEGEND TOURNAMENT,
at some point it can help the youth to become more engaging in esports, but if we look to
the other side, it's better if they have a program for the kids, like teach them on how to
read and to be an active listener because I do believe that education is wealth. And for the
youth, make a project on how their talents can excel and be more improved. I think as a
resident, I will address it ethically, like attending to the Barangay State of The Nation
Address (BONA) for feedback and of course to attribute my opinion, because in this
little engagement, you practice yourself on how to be a good citizen that has aware of
what's happening in your community.
